The book titled Higher Education in Bangladesh: Prospects and Challenges (4th Edition) projects a comprehensive picture of higher education in Bangladesh both in public and private universities. It also expounds the role, functions, current activities and existing challenges and prospects of higher education and future action plans of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and the Government as well. The background, goals, objectives and importance of higher education have also broadly expounded in this book. Simultaneously policy drawbacks and recommendations are proposed for further improvement of quality education and cutting edge research with a view to enhancing and enriching the structural management of higher education in Bangladesh. To foster and promote higher education in both public and private channel, public-private partnership (PPP) programs should be initiated in higher education sector.
